The quality of students applying to EDHEC's Master programmes is undoubtedly impressive. This year no fewer than 3 outstanding international students have been offered the prestigious EIFFEL scholarship worth 1181 euros per month and reserved for high quality profiles.
Three Asian students have been awarded the EIFFEL scholarship to ease the costs of their study period in EDHEC Business School for 2008-09.
This Scholarship is launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and managed by Egide. Every year, Egide awards a number of scholarships to elite international students wishing to pursue their Masters or PhD studies in French schools of higher education. The courses taken by these students in France ultimately target positions of responsibility in the public or private sector, rather than careers in teaching or research. The French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs gives priority to candidates from emerging countries (starting with Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and new members of the European Union), though the PhD scholarships also address students from industrialised countries.
This year, after examination of 1331 application forms, the selection committee granted a total of 468 applicants the coveted EIFFEL Scholarship. Worth €1181 per month, these grants are awarded to high-potential applicants who prove outstanding academic achievement.
Expenses covered in this programme include: travelling expenses to and from France, health insurance and even language courses. Grant holders not only benefit from financial aid however as they receive practical help and advice from Egide who manage and monitor their stay in France.
The integration of high-quality international students is a priority in EDHEC Business School, which itself offers several internal scholarships to applicants showing outstanding academic achievement and financial need.
Applicants interested in applying for next year's EIFFEL scholarship should note that they must have submitted a full application file to one of EDHEC's programmes (complete with valid TOEFL and GMAT scores) and already be accepted in one of EDHEC's programmes, before applying for the EIFFEL scholarship.
EIFFEL scholarships applications will close in December so please allow plenty of time for your EDHEC programme application to be evaluated before the deadline.
